Ingredients (serves 2)
- Chickpeas, cooked / tinned240 g
- Rapeseed / sunflower oil5 g
Also: Smoked paprika, salt
Method
- Turn the oven on to 200 °C to heat up (about 10 min). Rinse the chickpeas (240 g) in a colander and dry them thoroughly with a clean tea towel.
- In a bowl, mix the chickpeas with 1 tsp oil (5 g), smoked paprika and a little salt.
- Spread them in a single layer on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Roast in the oven at 200 °C for 25 min, stirring halfway, until crunchy and golden.
- Let them cool on the tray for 5 min – they'll crisp up even more as they cool.
Tips
- Dry the chickpeas really well – otherwise they won't go crunchy.
- They're crunchiest on the first day; keep them in an open container.
- Want it hotter? More chilli or cayenne pepper before roasting.
- Want it milder? Instead of chilli – just smoked paprika and salt.
