Ingredients (serves 1)

  • Wholemeal bread (2 slices)70 g
  • Red kidney beans, cooked / tinned100 g
  • Olive oil5 g
  • Radishes60 g

Also: Garlic, lemon juice, salt, spring onions

Method

  1. Mash the beans with a fork together with the oil, garlic, lemon juice and salt.
  2. Spread on the bread and top with sliced radishes and spring onions.

Tips

  • The spread keeps in the fridge for 3 days – make it with the whole tin.
  • Rinse tinned beans – there'll be less salt.
  • Want it hotter? In the spread – a pinch of chilli or smoked paprika.
