Porridge with plums and hemp seeds
Autumn porridge. The plums cook down into a sweet jam, and the hemp seeds bring the protein. Vegan.

Ingredients (serves 1)
- Rolled oats50 g
- Plums150 g
- Hemp seeds (hulled)15 g
Also: Water, cinnamon, a pinch of salt
Method
- Halve the plums, remove the stones and cook them with a splash of water over medium heat for 3 min.
- Add the oats, 250 ml water and a pinch of salt, and cook over low heat for 4–5 min.
- Sprinkle with hemp seeds and cinnamon.
Tips
- Plums out of season? Frozen plums or a grated apple work too.
- Don't cook the hemp seeds – sprinkle them on top so they keep their nutty flavour.
- Cheaper? Sunflower seeds instead of hemp seeds.
